Dr. McElroy was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. When he was little, he suffered a potty-related dental trauma that resulted in extensive dental and orthodontic treatment. As a result, his childhood career choice was dentistry. In 6th grade, he decided he would specialize in orthodontics and never changed his mind.
Dr. McElroy has been practicing orthodontics since 1995, seven of which have been in the Bay Area. His undergraduate degree is from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then went on to UCLA Dental School and completed his DDS degree in 1995. His certificate in orthodontics and master’s degree was completed at the University of Connecticut.
As his office décor displays, Dr. Mac is truly a kid at heart. He has been an avid comic collector and crazy for everything Spider-Man since he was 10 years old. Dr. McElroy lives in Pleasanton with his wife and three children. His daughters love going to the comic book store with him, and he gets a kick out of their knowing all of the Spider-Man villains.
Those who know Dr. Mac will attest to the fact that he is a fun-loving guy who always jokes around. He strives to foster an upbeat and friendly atmosphere in his office.
